Cecilia Gachie is a seasoned leader in Business Assurance, Financial Systems, and Risk Management operating at the intersection of telecommunications and financial technology (Fintech). Currently serving as the Head of Business Assurance at Safaricom PLC—the powerhouse behind M-PESA, Africa’s most successful mobile money platform—Cecilia provides strategic oversight, ensuring the integrity of revenue streams, direct costs and Margins.

With over two decades of experience, Cecilia is a specialist in safeguarding complex revenue streams and leading large-scale enterprise transformations. Her expertise ensures the integrity of high-stakes digital ecosystems, including mobile payments, digital credit, and cross-border remittances.

Cecilia is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), a PRINCE2® Practitioner, and a member of the Women on Boards Network. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Nairobi and is an alumna of the Strathmore Business School Women in Leadership program. Beyond the boardroom, she is a dedicated mentor and coach, empowering others in personal finance and professional growth.
