Lawrence Amadi

Lawrence Amadi is a Partner and Head of Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) at KPMG Africa, with over 23 years of experience delivering digital assurance, AI and robotics advisory, technology consulting, and information risk management services across the continent. He leads KPMG Africa’s Tech Risk service network, focusing on telecom, fintech, financial services, and other digitally driven industries.

Lawrence is widely recognized for helping organizations build trust in complex digital environments by balancing innovation with strong governance, risk, and control frameworks. His expertise spans IT security governance, technology risk assessments, IT audits, and revenue assurance, including deep reviews of telecom billing environments using advanced data analytics and audit techniques.

As digital transformation accelerates, he has expanded his leadership into emerging domains such as AI governance, intelligent automation assurance, API and integration reviews, data center resilience, and FinOps-driven cloud optimization. He has led large-scale technology assessments across telecom networks, banking systems, ERP platforms, and enterprise IT infrastructure.

Lawrence has delivered projects across multiple African markets including Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa, working across industries such as telecom, financial services, energy, manufacturing, and consumer products. His work aligns with global frameworks including COBIT and ISO 27001/27002.

He holds a First-Class Honours degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos and a Global Executive MBA from IE Business School, Madrid. He is a Fellow of ICAN, a member of CIMA and the Institute of Internal Auditors, and holds certifications including CISA and CRISC.
