Thomas Gouws

Thomas Gouws is a Partner at KPMG with over two decades of experience across audit and advisory services. He joined KPMG in 2000 and was admitted as a Partner in 2012. Currently, he serves as the Advisory COO for KPMG Southern Africa, driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence across the region.

Thomas is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and Registered Auditor (SA), holding a BCom (Hons) in Accounting. His expertise spans Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Data & Analytics, Governance, Risk & Compliance, Integrated Assurance, Control Self-Assessment, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Sustainability Assurance and Reporting.

He has led engagements across multiple geographies, including South Africa, Botswana, the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Qatar, Eswatini, Nigeria, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, and the United Arab Emirates, bringing a strong global perspective to risk and assurance practices.
